TEDx events are independently organized under a free license granted by TED. They follow TED’s spirit of “ideas worth spreading,”
but are produced locally by volunteer teams who curate speakers and experiences for their community.
Speakers are chosen through an open call and active scouting. The team evaluates ideas for originality, clarity, evidence,
and impact. It’s the idea that matters most—not fame or job title.
Yes. Submit a short pitch (2–3 paragraphs) that states your central idea, why it matters now, and the key takeaways for the audience.
Avoid product pitches or promotional talks; TEDx is about sharing ideas, not selling.
TED talks are produced by TED at official conferences. TEDx talks are produced by licensed local organizers.
Both follow similar content guidelines and stage formats, but TEDx content is community-driven and locally curated.
No. TED and TEDx do not pay speakers; talks are volunteer contributions.
Some events may offer limited support (e.g., local transport), but it’s not guaranteed and depends on the event’s budget.
Tickets are announced on our website and social channels. Seats are limited and often sell out quickly.

Each edition has a guiding theme (e.g., “Connected Futures”). Talks should clearly connect to the theme, but diverse perspectives
and disciplines are encouraged as long as the core idea is compelling and well-argued.
Yes. Talks are recorded and, after post-production, many are published on the event’s YouTube channel and may be featured on
the official TEDx platform, subject to quality and editorial review.
